Mackenzie Walters

Mackenzie is a third-year graduate student in the Linguistics Department at the University of Texas at Austin. She has a Master's degree in Anthropology and a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and Anthropology, both from Tulane University. Her research interests include Mayan languages, historical and comparative linguistics, writing systems, phonology, and morphology. Her current research focuses on the reconstruction of Ch'olan languages, with a particular focus on Ch'orti' and Colonial Ch'olti'.
