Walter Amilcar Paz Joj is an ajtz’ib’ (Mayan scribe), graphic designer, student, researcher and teacher of art, music and Mayan hieroglyphic writing. Of Kaqchikel origin, Walter’s interests are the re-creation of classical Mayan texts and art combined with contemporary Kaqchikel thought and language through the use of digital tools for the creation of his graphic works, publishing them on virtual platforms such as a gallery open to the public. Walter has created all of the incredible artwork for the Maya at the Mouse Meetings.
