Christy Pritchard
Onsite Archaeologist
Ms. Christy Pritchard, RPA has twenty years of experience in archaeological research. While much of her work focuses on the development of research designs, furnishing archaeological assessments, conducting investigations and technical reporting, Christy is equally dedicated to archaeology education and outreach.
She has been a research associate of AFAR for 10 years, assisting with coordination of the Belize project. Christy believes that her work with AFAR helps create global stewards and better citizens through the education of teens and young adults.
On the home front, Christy was the direct lead in the development of Kentucky Archaeology Month and has been a steering committee member for Living Archaeology Weekend(LAW) since 2010. LAW is the one of the more unique public archaeology events in the country is leading the way for archaeology education for primary school students.
AFAR is leading the way for archaeology education at a High school level. Christy is honored to be a part of such rewarding programs, programs that pave the way for archaeological research, preservation and continued support.
